TAKE A HIKE

"The mountains are calling and I must go." - John Muir

"The earth has music for those who listen" - William Shakespeare

As the days are getting longer and warmer, we are getting outdoors more. ‘take a hike’ is the theme of this exhibit. In celebration of Earth Day and Spring, we are featuring national parks, sustainability, and animal conservation!

Getting outdoors can be so rewarding.

It is as simple as taking a walk or a hike with a friend, a co-worker, or your family. ‘take a hike’ — get outdoors: for your own health and in support of our environment: land, water, animals, sustentation, and conservation.

Sustentation is maintenance, upkeep. : preservation, conservation. : maintenance of life, growth, or morale.

Life below water: Avoiding the use of plastic bags to keep the oceans clean. Life on land: Planting trees to help protect the environment. Responsible consumption and production: Recycling items such as paper, plastic, glass, and aluminum. Save Nature. Conserve threatened wildlife and wild places to sustain life on Earth.

“Unless someone like you cares a whole aweful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” — The Lorax

Our commitment to sustainability: we use all natural renewable recyclable products such as archival cotton paper and eco- friendly ink for our prints. We use the internet, our online art gallery website, for our exhibits, resulting in a cleaner environment with less deforestation, going virtual, saving environmental ecological footprint, resources and waste; reaching people all over the world through technology doing what we can to reduce carbon footprint, getting outdoors instead! A portion of the proceeds from ‘take a hike’ will go to support Sustentation.
